Our final night is back in Albury before we return to Naracoorte to complete a sensational 7 day spring tour. All aboard, as we head off to Albury for our first night on tour. Day 2 (BD): ALBURY TO SYDNEY WEDNESDAY 16 OCTOBER
Following breakfast, we hit the road again with a stop in Gundagai for our morning break before travelling on to Goulburn. Goulburn was proclaimed to be Australia's first inland city through letters patent by Queen Victoria in 1863. Before we leave, we’ll take in the sights and get a feel for the city’s history and of course, we’ll see the “Big Merino”. This afternoon, we head into Sydney and our accommodation for two nights at inner city Rushcutters Bay. (Meal Inclusions: Breakfast & dinner in the hotel). Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay, Sydney - 02 8353 8988 – 2 nights

Day 3 (BD): ROYAL EDINBURGH MILITARY TATTOO THU 17 OCTOBER
We’ve probably all been to Sydney before, but you never get sick of the views of the harbour. With our locally based guide, we embark on a city sights tour including the historical Rocks area where the First Fleet landed in 1788 to establish Australia's first European settlement. We also stop at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair for the spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Fort Denison.
Late morning, we arrive at Darling Harbour for a look at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum followed by some free time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is “at leisure” prior to an early dinner – and then an unforgettable night when a touch of “stirring Scotland” comes to Sydney! (Meal Inclusions: Breakfast & dinner at the hotel)  Coming direct from its annual season entertaining more than 220,000 people on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, Scotland, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo continues to boast sell-out performances. Be caught up and inspired by this emotional spectacle, set against the backdrop of a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle. We’ll be lavishly entertained by traditional Scottish and international favourites including pipers, fiddlers, highland dancers and precision drill teams. Together with members of the Australian Defence Force this will be a ‘tour de force’ guaranteed to stir our souls and uplift our senses!

Day 4 (BLD): SYDNEY TO CANBERRA FRIDAY 18 OCTOBER, 2019
Today we get underway and head through the Southern Highlands and Goulburn to Canberra. On arrival we join the MV Southern Cross for a 1 hr lunch cruise to see the city’s landmarks from Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin. This afternoon we visit the Australian War Memorial. This memorial commemorates the sacrifice of the Australian men and women, who have served in war, through its ceremonial areas, extensive exhibitions and research facilities. Over the past few years the AVM has undergone extensive redevelopment resulting in new galleries and displays. The largest of these is the very impressive Anzac Hall which has a number of must-see exhibits. One is G for George - a stunning re-creation of a night operation over Berlin in 1943, featuring the famous Lancaster bomber "G for George". Another is Submarine featuring the Memorial’s famous midget submarine, assembled from sections of two of the three submarines that raided Sydney in 1942. Later in the afternoon we move to the focus of the commemoration - the Hall of Memory together with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Pool of Reflection and the Roll of Honour that lists the names of over 102,000 Australian servicemen and women who have died in war. It is here we’ll hear the last post and closing ceremony. (Meal Inclusions: Breakfast & dinner in the hotel/Lunch cruise)
Canberra Rex Hotel. 2 nights.

Day 5 (BD): WHO RUNS THIS COUNTRY? SATURDAY 19 OCTOBER
On Capitol Hill, overlooking Lake Burley Griffin and facing the Australian War Memorial, is Parliament House. It’s not the original Parliament House of course – that building sits just below Capitol Hill and is now the Museum of Australian Democracy - the ONLY museum that celebrates democracy and our place within it. So, first thing this morning, we take a guided tour of Parliament House with its renowned architecture, impressive art collection and amazing rooftop views. Then we head to the National Museum of Australian Democracy - “Old Parliament House” - to experience Australian history first hand. There will be some free time for lunch before our afternoon visit to Telstra Tower at Black Mountain for some stunning views over the city before returning to the hotel. (Meal Inclusions: Breakfast & dinner in the hotel)

Day 6 (BLD): THE SNOWY MOUNTAINS SUNDAY 20 OCTOBER 2019. From Canberra this morning we travel to Yass and re-join the Hume Highway, back through Gundagai. Just south of here we divert into the foothills of the Snowy Mountains for a scenic drive through Adelong and the Gilmore Valley to Batlow and onto Tumbarumba - a delightful small country town which is largely untouched by the modern world. We will see the Court House and Police Residence which were constructed in the 1880s. Their age is still evident in the VR (Victoria Regina) embossed into the cast iron lacework. There are gables in the outbuildings and the court room has a double height ceiling. Around the corner in Bridge Street is the current local Court House, a beautiful building with large trees in the street outside. We enjoy a light lunch at the Pioneer Women’s Cottage which includes an excellent collection of domestic artefacts, agricultural machinery and local crafts.
We then travel to nearby Boggy Creek Station. “Mountains, legends & laughs” - The Boggy Creek Show combines all the skill of horsemanship, mustering, whip cracking, working dogs and sheep tricks with humour, a naughty kelpie and a stubborn mule. There are not many truly traditional family farms left in the High Country. The Boggy Creek Show reflects Australia's iconic farming values and practices, ones that people from all around Australia and the world recognise and identify with. The Boggy Creek Show is a 2-hour live show that utilises farming techniques and knowledge learnt over three generations. The owner-operators keep their culture alive by showing people how generations of High Country cattlemen opened up and farmed the High Country. Preserving the bush knowledge that can only be described as "heritage" is one of the main aims of the Boggy Creek Show. Tim will go to great lengths to show visitors the ins and outs of mountain life: From how to "cooee" to boiling the Billy for tea. Nothing is overlooked in bringing past and recent farming activities alive. At the conclusion of the show we drive through to Albury for our final night on tour. (Meal Inclusions: Breakfast & dinner in the motel/Light lunch at Tumbarumba) Quality Resort Siesta, Albury 1 night
